As California was legalizing recreational marijuana our original series captured it in real time, blending scripted and improvised experiences around Los Angeles and the Valley with LA’s “Pot Shaman to the Stars” and his high-minded assistant. From Silver Lake to the High Times Cannabis Cup our cast & crew went out into the field to take on a wide variety of newly burgeoning cultural topics, including Prop 64, “dabs” and other concentrates, the diversifying audience of weed consumers, and the decline of the OG Pot Culture. What starts as one man’s journey to capitalize on and idolize himself in the coming out party of cannabis evolves through a full-on identity crisis into forced self-realization in the brave new world of legal weed.
